To access Woorim Beach South from outside, it’s easiest to drive to the end of Lowry St in Woorim. Dogs are allowed on the right side of the access point, near the sand pump station. The beach is technically a “surf beach”, but the day I visited the waves didn’t reach a height of 30cm. There is also a dog wash near the access area.

Alternatively, go to Red Beach to access the dog beach. The water is getting calmer at Red Beach. From the first car park, there are initially on-leash only beaches for several hundred metres, before the start of the off-leash part of the beach, which is clearly marked.

On Burberry Island, there are also two off-leash dog beaches. At the north end of Woorim Beach, just north of the off-leash area, dogs are allowed from the gate on the north side of North Street, north to the 4×4 access area. Additionally, in Bellara, dogs can run in the beach area along the Sylvan Beach Esplanade between Boronia Drive and Marina Boulevard.
